Paul’s experience spans private practice and in-house energy trading and retail electricity roles. He works with traders, generators, financiers, industrial energy users, and legal and risk teams on physical and financial commodity transactions.
His practice includes power, natural gas, LNG, NGLs, crude, refined products, renewables, and environmental commodities. His work connects master trading agreements and structured deals with credit support, performance obligations, regulatory requirements, and distressed-counterparty exposure.
Bankruptcy is a substantial part of Paul’s practice. He has represented both non-debtor energy and commodities market participants and market participants in their own bankruptcies, addressing trading contracts, safe harbors, collateral, claims, and bankruptcy-related disputes.
Paul has helped build and lead energy and trading practices at national and international firms. At TCL, clients work with him directly throughout the engagement.
